H - Series Double Dump Flapgate Valve

The premier industrial flapgate valve.  Use to replace rotary type airlock valves in applications using highly abrasive materials. Also used when odd shaped debris is causing rotary valves to plug.  The H-Series double dump valve is manufactured in a variety of high performance alloys including cast iron, Ni-resist and stainless steel.

H-Series Features Exclusive "full throat" openings provide for maximum material flow and prevent material bridging. Flappers and seats cast of long wearing high chrome can be repeatedly re-ground for extended service life Self flushing linkage option designed to permit passage of surge-loads and eliminate plugged lines Unique front access cover permits cleaning, service, and replacement without system interruption Outboard mounted shaft bearings permit air circulation and easy access to shaft seals for replacement Optional knife edge seat prevents material build up on the flappers, increases closing force, and helps cut through stringy materials Standard operating temperatures to 750oF (399oC). Available to 1800oF (980oC)

Capacities:

The 6" - 12" capacities are based on standard 6x per minute cycle. For 16"+ valves, the cycle is 4x per minute.  A dutchman or spool piece can be supplied to enable greater capacity. Cycle times are fully adjustable.

Special drives or other custom features such as controls, limit switches, cooling jets, special shaft seals or other requirements are available.

** Use Plattco "S" Type valves where lower headroom is required.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  H-Series valves are designed for free flowing particulate and are NOT suitable for cutting through a head of material.
