Customer Driven Manufacturing - An Overview
By John Kabbes, President John Kabbes & Assoc.

This is the first of several articles describing Customer Driven Manufacturing (CDM) and individual planning, execution and management elements of a complete operating approach.

Each element makes critical contributions to the overall approach but also function as business processes. CDM may be implemented in any factory desiring an immediate improvement in delivery performance, lower inventory investment and increased labor productivity. Pneumatic Conveying - Issues & Answers
Starting with the Basics

By Jack Hilbert, Pneumatic Conveying Consultants

Pneumatic Conveying has often been referred to as a "black art" rather than a science because equipment suppliers are very reluctant to provide information relative to how they arrived at a particular recommendation for any given application. Their respective experience is a key factor in their ability to provide equipment and solutions. [click here to read this newsletter]

Replace Rotary Valves to Improve Performance
When a wood waste-to-electricity power plant began replacing rotary valves on their flyash baghouse in 2004, the facility realized a significant reduction in turbulence in the baghouse above the valves, an increase in bag life by many years and lower emissions. The plant manager credits Plattco's Pollution Control Valves (PCV) and their superior ability to seal over the rotary valves. [click here to read this article]

Increase Valve Life / Decrease Downtime
When most valves are ready to call it quits, Plattco valves are just getting started! Our in-line maintenance feature coupled with our expert Field Service program will mean decades of like-new performance at peak operating efficiency.

Plattco invented the first Double Flap Airlock® Valves in 1960 to eliminate leakage with sintering and palletizing in the mining industry, and for handling of cement clinker. We have established an unmatched reputation for correcting process design problems in applications that involve high temperature, high pressure, and abrasive or corrosive materials.
