It's all about the airlock technology! These valves ensure a tight production system by creating a dependable seal that prevents emissions, tramp, and fugitive air from sneaking in - all while effortlessly conveying dry materials.
Double flap airlock valves are essential in industrial applications for efficiently handling dry, bulk materials, from fine powders to chunky particles. They maintain an airlock at transition points, preserving pressure differentials while continuously discharging material.
These valves operate with two stacked valves; when activated, both are initially closed, and to keep the seal tight during filling and emptying, one valve is always kept closed.
First, the top valve opens to allow material to drop into the bottom one, then closes to prevent air leakage above.
Next, the bottom valve opens for continued flow below before closing again to ensure an airtight seal. This cycle continues, maintaining a steady material flow.
Additionally, the double-flap valve was designed to be easily inspected and repaired, so the main material-handling components, or wear parts, can be inspected and maintained without removing the valve’s housing from service.

Double-flap airlock valves were developed to address common issues in rotary valve designs.
