Planned Equipment Maintenance Technician (Electromechanical role)

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in an electromechanical role with electrical emphasis
  • Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components
  • Perform tests and run initial batches to make sure that the machine is running smoothly
  • Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications
  • Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests
  • Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery
  • Check the performance of machinery
  • Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed
  • Adjust equipment and reset or calibrate sensors and controls
  • Install or repair machinery and equipment
  • Adjust and align machine parts
  • Take apart existing machinery to clear floor space for new machinery
  • Move machinery and equipment
  • · Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Maintains facilities to include the repair of windows, roof, floors, and stairways; construct shop partitions, bins, racks, etc.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.93 - $23.43 per hour


Inside Sales - Business Development Manager (Technical Sales)

CONTRIBUTION SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing all sales activities and providing comprehensive customer support within a defined geographical territory. The Business Development Manager is responsible for any independent representatives/contractors and partnering with the outside sales team in a given territory.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of work for self and all employees, and to participate in training as needed for this purpose.
  • Achieving sales and revenue targets and KPI’s as set by the Manager of Inside Sales as well as VP of Sales and Marketing within the given, assigned territory.
  • Building the business within the territory using a variety of sales techniques, including but not limited to, telephone, email, web-based meetings and site visits (as required).
  • Develop the list of target companies within the area.
  • Prepare product cost quotes by effectively identifying required components and labor to achieve the desired balance of cost and profitability.
  • Provides the pre-sales support including the development of project proposals, delivery of engineering drawings and renderings, contract preparation and pricing. This requires a high level of relationships, partnering and collaboration with appropriate internal partners.
  • Coordinates the post-sale support including project management, timelines, related interface with engineering and manufacturing to ensure the design intent is maintained and the agreed upon delivery dates are met.
  • Review and analyze past project profitability by checking reports to verify costs on similar items that have already been produced.
  • Communicates with customer to resolve design, product delivery, costs and engineering issues that arise during the pre and post sales process.
  • Responsible for organizing project related customer visits to Plattsburgh and customers visits in the marketplace as it relates to working on major projects and relationship building.
  • Developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations and preparing proposals in a way that articulates Plattco's value proposition.
  • Responsible for overseeing the entire sales process for customers in their territory including quoting, order processing and follow up.
  • Responsible for working with both outside sales representatives and also independent sales representatives to achieve sales targets through selling activities, technical support and after sales customer service.
  • Managing and approving all commissions for independent sales representatives assigned to their territory.
  • Vetting and qualifying potential independent sales representatives.
  • Accomplish department and organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments and utilize process improvements to increase efficiencies.
  • Primary point of communication, with a strong focus on phone and email communication, with new and existing customers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Attendance is regular and consistent; absences are minimal, and communications about them are timely and considerate
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • High mechanical aptitude- exhibits a high level of understanding of Company processes when developing strategies for creating improvements
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel Internationally (Canada)
  • Able to multi task / assignments, organized, professional
  • Exhibits a continuous improvement mindset, including a passion for learning
  • Must be able to wear required PPE (Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Steel-Toe Boots, etc.…)
